  The girls’ laughter drew Ian’s and Justin’s attention.

  Spotting Derek talking to the chef, Justin asked Ian, “Think they’re headed for divorce?” He lifted his beer to his lips.

  “Nah. He’d never divorce her. Who would he answer to then?” Ian chuckled. “He’s got no backbone.”

  The men turned to look at Derek.

  “Because you do.” Justin slapped his back and walked away.

  “Yeah, but Lily’s no Caroline,” Ian quietly said, following Justin.

  “Thank God. Hot as hell, but fuckin’ scary.” Justin chuckled while Ian put on a charming smile and approached the girls.

  “You boys look like you’re up to no good.” Caroline eyed them with a cocked eyebrow; they both wiped the smirks from their faces.

  “And you look beautiful as ever.” Justin smiled his charming smile at her.

  “Oh God.” Lilith rolled her eyes.

  “I’d make a shawl out of that beautiful hair, Justin, watch it.” Caroline winked, mussing his wayward curls before heading toward Derek.

  “Scares the shit out of me,” Justin mumbled.

  “Yup.” Ian agreed with a nod, looking into his drink.

  “Oh, stop,” Lilith scoffed.

  “Baby, she probably beats Derek.”

  “She does not.” Lilith chuckled and shook her head. “You boys need to be beat.”

  “Sign me up,” Justin quipped. Lilith smiled, walking away.

  “Caroline.” Lilith took her hand and pulled her across the room to get her away from Barry, who was boring her with legal terms she didn’t care to understand.

  “God,” she sighed. “Thank you.”

  Lilith looked back at Barry and noticed Derek watching Caroline’s ass.

  “Have you two been married long?”

  “Me and Derek? A while. We got married young.” She nodded.

  “So tell me, does he really do everything you ask?”

  “Lily.” Caroline chuckled, finishing her glass of wine.

  “He picked out this necklace on his own.” Caroline’s fingers touched her new diamond pendant and Lilith barked out a laugh.

  Caroline grinned, looking back toward the guys. Her eyes met Derek’s. He winked at her and her lips slightly curled up.

  When dinner was served, Caroline took her place next to him and he pushed in her chair.

  “Thank you,” she rigidly said while picking up her second glass of wine.

  Barry was staring at her like usual and she glared back at him across the table.

  “Something you’re looking for, Barry?” She never had a problem pointing out his blatant staring.

  “I love staring into those soulless eyes, Caroline.”

  Derek jerked his head up, then prepared to stand, but the second Caroline’s hand landed on his leg, he stopped.

  “I’ll have a soul once I swallow yours.”

  “That what happened to Derek?” Barry’s harsh teasing never offended her.

  “Alright,” Derek scoffed.

  “You know.” She smirked and leaned in to the table. “Once you partner him, I’m getting half of what’s yours.”

  “I’d never let a woman have even a third of what was mine.”

  “No woman wants a third of what’s yours,” Justin spoke up; Ian chuckled.

  “Barry, please respect my wife.”

  Caroline’s thumb rubbed soothingly over Derek’s thigh.

  “She knows it’s all in good fun.” Barry smiled at her.

  “Yeah, dear, not many women are willing to interact with Barry, I don’t mind.”

  Lilith chuckled and Barry leaned forward to look around Justin and glower at her.

  “I don’t know what you’re laughing at—”

  “I will knock you out,” Ian warned before he finished his sentence. Barry sat back in his chair.

  “Good boy, Barry,” Caroline taunted him.

  “Control your wife, Derek. . . . Oh wait.” He smirked at him, then made a whip cracking noise.

  Derek opened his mouth, but again, Caroline stopped him by grabbing his arm.

  “You need a leash, Barry.” Caroline evilly glared at him, always loving their ridiculous repartee.

  “Derek, can I borrow one of yours?” Barry looked to Derek who just sighed and looked at his wife with pleading eyes, hating their puerile banter.

  “Autoerotic asphyxiation?” Justin quirked his eyebrow and looked at his brother.

  Ian and Lilith chuckled, while Caroline smirked and Derek just sighed again, but kept his mouth shut.

  Caroline and Barry ragged on each other, back and forth, throughout their dinner. Keeping a firm hand on her knee, Derek expressed his discontent, but it didn’t stop her from belittling Barry in playful fun.

  “I’m ready when you are,” Derek told her after their two hour dinner and he finished his glass of wine.

  “I think I’ve put up with my fair share of Barry for the night.” She coldly smirked at him across the table.

  “And I think Derek handled it all well. If you find it in your tiny heart, maybe you could let him clear the cobwebs out tonight.” He winked at her.

  “That’s enough,” Derek snapped while Caroline chuckled.

  “You’re going to take that from him?” Justin spoke up as Caroline gave him a quick hug.

  “Barry doesn’t bother me,” she lightheartedly said and moved to hug Ian. “He’s just a little boy trapped in a sixty year old man’s body.”

  “I’m forty-five!” Barry barked with offense, making Caroline laugh harder.

  “Forty-five years and you’ve never seen a pussy.” She frowned. “That’s sad.”

  Lilith’s laughter rang out next to them.

  “Caroline, please,” Derek said softly and dropped his head.

  She headed up the stairs, while Derek went to the kitchen. Walking into the bedroom, she stepped out of her heels and placed them in the closet.

  She heard the bedroom door close and she quickly slipped out of her dress, rushing to kneel on the ground at the foot of the bed.

  “Why weren’t you waiting?” his voice snapped in the air.

  “I didn’t expect you to be so quick,” she spoke and glanced over her shoulder before bringing her gaze to the carpet in front of her.

  His long fingers delved into the back of her hair and yanked her head back so she was looking up at him.

  “What’d you forget?” He growled down at her.

  “I’m sorry, Master. I didn’t expect you to be so quick, Master,” she swiftly corrected herself.

  “Better.”

  His mouth slammed down on hers, making sure to smear the red across her face. He pulled back slightly so he could suck her bottom lip into his mouth. Clamping his teeth around her plump lip, he bit as he pulled away.

  “You aggravated the shit out of me tonight,” he growled at her, loosening his tie.

  “It was intentional, Master.”

  “You know how to drive me absolutely insane.” Removing his tie, he then yanked her arms behind her back and slipped it around her wrists, securing it. He studied her fisted hands, restrained by the gold satin, as they sat on the curve of her full ass.
